The perfect day to announce our 2020 Community Spirit Pledge Recipients

Each year, Middlesex Mutual’s community donation committee meets to determine the year’s funding focus. This year the committee’s efforts will support COVID-19 relief initiatives in our local communities. We are happy to announce MMIC’s board of directors approved the committee’s recommendations.

As a Mutual, we are part of a strong association of like-minded local insurance companies that have been providing stable insurance protection for Ontarians for well over 150 years. ‘We’re in this Together’ has been a mantra of Ontario’s Mutuals for a long time and as part of pandemic relief efforts, our reinsurer, Farm Mutual Re (FMRe) showcased this ideal by putting in place a ‘Mutual Support’ initiative to empower all Mutual members to reach out and help where it was needed most in their own backyards.

So, today is also about gratitude and paying it forward. We would like to acknowledge and thank FMRe for the additional $41,000 that Middlesex Mutual was given in trust, to add to our own community spirit pledge funding reserves so we could help out our local area’s relief efforts. A COVID-19 Relief Campaign of $70,000 that will be distributed into our local communities in the coming weeks.

We are pleased to announce our 2020 Community Spirit Pledge Recipients!
