Here at Middlesex Mutual Jim is one of our busiest agents. Known for his friendly, reliable customer service and involvement in the community he is a valuable asset to the Middlesex Mutual team.

Jim obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from the University of Guelph in 1981 and went on to complete the Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program. Today, Jim and his son-in-law own and operate a crop and vegetable farm in the area.

Over the years, Jim has been a School Board Trustee, a Director at Libro Credit Union and served on the board of the Ontario Processing Vegetable Growers Association. Jim has also volunteered for the Canadian Food for Children Charity since 1995. Over the past 2 decades, Jim has been instrumental in collecting refurbished bikes and plastic pails for water to send to third world countries.

Jim is an active advocate for our rural communities and has dedicated hundreds of hours to promoting farming and the wellbeing of rural Ontario

An active participant with the Thorndale Fair for years, Jim and his wife are proud winners of the 2017 Meritorious Service Award from the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies

Fun Stats

  • Favourite sports biking, skiing, paddle boarding, canoeing, anything outdoors really. Jim's skiing abilities were put to good use as a ski patrol for over ten years at Cobble Hills Golf & Ski Club
  • Known for being a family man. Jim has been married for over 36 years to his lovely wife Norma; they have five children and six grandchildren. Actively involved in all their lives Jim is immensely proud of them & all their accomplishments.
  • Enjoys travelling and riding his bike 30 kilometers to work!
