Fleet requirements

  • 5 or more commercial rated vehicles
  • Satisfactory claims experience
  • Satisfactory driving records for all drivers
  • Commercial Vehicles Operations Registration (CVOR) must be valid
  • Level II CVOR for heavy rated vehicles (over 4500 kg)
  • Common ownership

Fleet auto policies cover the following:

Third Party Liability (mandatory)

This covers you when the driver of your company vehicle injures someone or damages their property and they make a claim against you.

Accident Benefits (mandatory)

This covers rehab and medical expenses and provides loss of income due to disability or death. It also covers funeral expenses.

Direct Compensation - Property Damage (DCPD) Coverage (mandatory):

This covers damage to your commercial vehicle or its contents, if another person was at fault for the accident.

Uninsured Automobile Coverage (mandatory)

Protects you if the driver of your company vehicle is injured or killed by a hit-and-run driver or by an uninsured motorist. It also covers damage to your vehicle caused by an identified uninsured driver.

Extra Coverage for Loss or Damage to Your Vehicle

Optional Collision coverage

This covers you for losses caused when your commercial vehicle is involved in an accident and your driver is at fault.

Optional Comprehensive coverage

This covers damage to your commercial vehicle for perils such as fire, hail, or flying debris.
